Class Attendance Policy

 

Attendance Requirements

  • Weekly Attendance:

    • Once you sign up for a package, the sessions you purchase will be automatically enrolled on a weekly basis.

    • We expect students to attend class weekly for optimal learning progress.

    • Consistent weekly attendance is required to receive monthly progress reports.

  • Leave Notifications:

    • If you need to take leave due to illness, school events, competitions, etc., please provide at least 24 hours' notice prior to the class.

 

Credit for Absences

  • Advance Notification:

    • If you notify us in advance about your absence, we will credit the missed session to your account.

  • Using Credits:

    • Any credits received due to absences must be utilised within the expiration date specified for your package.

  • Severe Weather Cancellations:

    • For classes canceled due to severe weather warnings, we will credit the missed session back to your account, and the expiration date will be automatically extended by one week.

 

Package Validity

  • Session Packages:

    • 4 Sessions: Valid for 6 weeks.

    • 12 Sessions: Valid for 18 weeks.

    • If you do not use your sessions before the validity date, the remaining sessions will be lost.

If there is a public holiday on your class date, the validity of your package will be extended by one week.  This structure allows flexibility if your child cannot attend some weeks for various reasons.

 

Tuition fees are non-refundable once paid, unless the course is canceled by the college.

  1. The nature of the school's business is not limited by the Education Bureau's instruction to suspend classes for "non-formal private schools." Therefore, under force majeure (including natural disasters, riots, wars, government actions, strikes, terrorist attacks, plagues, or infectious diseases) or in the event of a class suspension announced by the Education Bureau, this does not constitute a reason for the customer to claim cancellation of the class or refund. All course operation decisions are within the college's sole control.

  2. KOOKRUKOO reserves the right of final interpretation and decision on the above terms and conditions.

  3. Once the customer pays the tuition fee, it is deemed to agree to and abide by the above terms and conditions.

 

 

 

Use of Photos and Other Media

We take photos and videos during classes, competitions, and activities for teacher training and promotion. If parents do not agree, please notify us.

 

 

Personal Data Collection Statement

We will collect, store, and use your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong, and send class arrangements and promotional information to you through different contact methods. The processing of all personal data is in compliance with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and we will not disclose any personal data to third parties. If you do not wish to receive this information, please notify us at info@kookrukoo.com.

Bad weather policy

 

Adverse Weather Center Operations

  • Classes will proceed as usual when Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 or No. 3 is in effect.

  • Classes will proceed as usual during yellow and red rainstorm warnings.

  • The college will close when black rainstorm warnings or typhoon signals No. 8 or above are in effect..

  • Arrangements will be based on the announcements from the Education Bureau. Information will be distributed via WhatsApp or Gmail.

 

Upcoming Adverse Weather

If the Observatory announces that a "Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above" will be issued within the next 2 hours, or if a "Black Rainstorm Warning" will be issued, all activities will be canceled during this period.

 

Adverse Weather During Class

If the Observatory issues a "Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above," to ensure student safety, please remain at the college until it is safe to leave or until a parent accompanies the student.

 

After Adverse Weather

All activities and college operations will return to normal two hours after the Observatory removes the "Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above" or "Black Rainstorm Warning."

 

Make-Up Class Arrangements

Classes canceled due to adverse weather warnings will be reflected as absences in your account, and the validity will be automatically extended by one week.
